On Wednesday 14th September 10am - 4pm at the Cotton Exchange, Liverpool.





Come and join us for another fantastic anniversary event!


The Liver Sketching Club will be running a six hour portrait drawing session with several models

over the course of the day, based in Liverpool's Cotton Exchange building,


Guidance is available for students of all ability levels to get started on producing a well observed

portrait or help you brush up your skills.



Materials:

Bring your own materials.


We will have a number of drawing boards available for use during the day.


There will also be the opportunity to buy Liver Sketching Club branded A4 cartridge paper sketch pads.



Refreshments:

Tea and coffee will be available, otherwise bring your own refreshments.



Tickets:

Public tickets £30 for the session, Tickets are available on Eventbrite OR contact the club at: liversketchingclub@yahoo.co.uk


Liver Sketching Club members should not use Eventbrite, but instead send an email to liversketchingclub@yahoo.co.uk saying you would like to attend so we can keep track of numbers.

Members can pay by cash on the day at a reduced rate.

The Cotton Exchange is located in Edmund Street, Liverpool, L3 9LQ.

Access to the Cotton Exchange via Bixteth Street near Exchange Station.

The final event of our anniversary year will be an exhibition at the Williamson Art Gallery & Musuem, Slatey Road, Birkenhead.


This fascinating exhibition will feature work by past Liver Sketching Club members from the Williamson's permanent collection, from our club, the Artists' Club, other galleries, and from private collections.


It will also include work by those current club members who are already in the Williamson's permanent collection.


As well as paintings and drawings, there will be historical documents and photographs, ephemera, the club's collection of exhibition catalogues from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, biographies of all known past members, and a 'reconstruction' of a studio will be set up in one of the galleries at the Williamson.




The exhibition will be in galleries3, 4 and 5 at the Williamson.


The exhibition will open at 10:30 on Thursday 10th November with some club members meeting there about 1pm to view the exhibition


The final day will be Saturday17 December.
