One of the lasting legacies from the 150th Anniversary of the club is a stunning collection of members' self-portraits.

Members were asked to produce a self-portrait to mark the anniversary and provide future generations of members with an illustration of those participating in the club at this historic juncture.

The self-portraits are currently on display in a folder at the Williamson exhibition.

After the exhibition they will go to be stored in the club's permanent archive in Liverpool central library for safe keeping.

Thursday 8th December saw club members and their guests meet at the Williamson Gallery & Museum for the final event of our anniversary year.

The curator of the exhibition, Niall Hodson, gave a fantastic speech and members enjoyed the chance to view the club's exhibition, catch up with each other and toast this past, historic year for the club with drinks.

The exhibition will remain up until 17th December.

Copies of David Brown's excellent book titled '150 years of The Liver Sketching Club' are still available for purchase for £12, but the print run is limited, so anyone who wants one should contact David directly via davidartshed@yahoo.co.uk to place an order.
