Our first members only night at Jackson's will take place on Wednesday 7th June 6pm

The members' night is an opportunity to ask your art media questions, try out some new materials and talk arty things to your fellow sketchers. The members discount will be applied on the night. It would be useful to know in advance if you have any special requests for anything that you would like to see/try.

Jackson's have asked for numbers, so please reply to this message if you'd like to attend. We really want to make it worth their staff time, so the more the merrier.

As there have been a few members asking for more social opportunities, we thought that 7th June would be a good time to go for a drink afterwards. There are a number of bars close by so we can decide which one on the night.

This opportunity came from a request made at the Members' Meeting and we welcome your input into Club activities.

We have been invited by the Liverpool Radicals to view their "Look Up" exhibition taking place at Beetham Tower. The exhibition has a short run from Wednesday 28th June to Friday 30th June (please see the links below for more information).

Four people replied on the WhatsApp poll to say that they would like to attend as a LSC group on the opening night on Wednesday 18.00.

We can reserve a number of tickets, so please let me know by 5th June if you would like a ticket reserved as I will need to contact the organiser.

Taught Art Classes

Following requests from the membership, Liver Sketching Club are excited to announce the first in a series of taught classes led by Katherine Dereli.

We think the classes will be popular, so will promote them internally to members before offering any remaining places to non-members.

Jackson's Art Shop

As most of you will know, sadly we recently lost Rennie's Art Shop from Bold Street. We're keen that we don't lose the other independent art shop so have asked Jackson's for their ideas.

Wr are happy to announce that they are going to trial a few 'LSC members only' evenings at the shop on Slater Street.

They will likely occur every 6 weeks and will be on Wednesday evenings from 6pm - 8pm.

Jackson's are happy to offer demonstrations of materials, show products and take Q and A's.

We think that the lighter nights will be ideal for members to combine the 'members only' evenings with a social afterwards, so watch this space for more information.

The Everyman Theatre has agreed to host an exhibition for Liver Sketching members during 5th - 19th September.

The Everyman Theatre, Liverpool.

To help promote the core work of the Club, we will be looking for work on the theme of 'People'.

More information will be given nearer the time, but we wanted to provide some notice. As always, the pieces will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.
