1872 - 2022
celebrating 150 years
The Liver Sketching Club celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2022. It was founded on 11 May 1872 in Liverpool and has been continuously active on the city ever since, making it the oldest art club in England. It still thrives today with around 100 members who attend any of the 40 classes in the studio every month – more than one each day.
